Applications for 75000 SSC GD will start from today, apply till this date
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the GD Constable recruitment notification on November 24. This recruitment drive aims to fill over 75,000 vacant positions in various police forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website until December 28th.
Posts will be in different Forces :
BSF will see the filling of 27,875 posts, CISF will have 8,598 positions filled, CRPF will recruit for 25,427 posts, SSB will have 5,278 positions filled, and ITBP will see the recruitment of 3,006 individuals. Additionally, there will be recruitment for 583 posts in the Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and 225 posts in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Posts allocation in different section :
This recruitment drive will fill a total of 75,768 posts, with 67,364 designated for men and 8,179 for women. Among the men's positions, 29,295 are unreserved, 15,086 are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 3,968 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 13,664 for Other Backward Class (OBC), and 5,142 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Similarly, among the women's positions, 3,989 are for the general category, while the rest are reserved for specific categories.
Eligibility :
Individuals who have successfully completed their 10th grade from a recognized institution are eligible to apply for these positions. The application age range is between 18 and 23 years, with age calculated as of August 1, 2023.
Applicants from the SC/ST category are eligible for a 5-year age limit relaxation, while those in the OBC category can avail a 3-year relaxation.
Additionally, candidates must meet the specified physical eligibility criteria, which can be reviewed in detail in the official notification.
Selection Process :
The selection process for these positions involves a written examination and a physical efficiency test. The written examination is scheduled for February, and only candidates who pass this stage will be invited for the physical efficiency test. Following this, a document verification process will take place.
The merit list will be compiled based on the marks obtained in the written examination, while the physical test is considered as a qualifying criterion. Detailed information about the pattern and syllabus of the written examination can be accessed on the official website.

To initiate the application process, candidates should visit the official website. New applicants are required to register using their email ID and mobile number.
Once registered, access the application form and meticulously input all educational and personal details. It is imperative to have scanned copies of educational mark sheets, caste certificates, identity cards, signatures, and photographs for the application.
A fee of Rs 100 is applicable for the application, except for women and candidates from the SC/ST category who are exempted from paying fees.
